A girl without a name/face...

Today I'm posting an old project, but a cute one. This was a doll I made for a young girl who lives in the area. She is faceless and nameless, but very cuddly and fun to snuggle. (Don't worry, the wood stove is not on.)

Mouse in the House

Yesterday, my roommate asked, "why did you leave english muffins out all over the counter?" Turns out, a little mouse friend looted us last night. S/he nibbled through the english muffin bag and nibbled three muffins, which s/he then carried and left at three different places on the counter. S/he also nibbled through a banana I was saving to make bread.

So, I decided to post this little guy. Cuter than the real thing, and much less of a deviant.
Peace, love, and friends.

carrot time

"A man visits his doctor with celery stalks stuck in each ear and a carrot stick up each nostril. He mumbles, "Doc, I'm just not feeling well." The doctor replies, "Maybe you're not eating right."

knit foods

and we're back...

since school is out for summer (or possibly forever in my case) i've been busy knitting. i'm working on a research study using fruit/vegetable characters to promote nutrition so i figured i'd give a go to knitting my own characters.

here is my first one, mr.banana. i used a corn on the cob pattern so his proportions are off, but he is just too cute to resist.
now back to work.

baby basket weave

finally!!!!!

the baby basket weave blanket is finished. i've been extremely busy with my school work and have not had much time to devote to obsessive-compulsive knitting sessions. luckily i blocked in a bit to hammer out this blanky while watching the oscar's last night.

here is beautiful harper modeling this blanky as a cape.
